A rich and sophisticated handwoven Raspberry pink Raga tissue saree in a luxurious deep wine shade that commands attention. This radiant, standout piece features a unique colour perfect for special occasions, showcasing the artistry of skilled weavers in every thread.
Ironing Guidelines for Tissue and Organza sarees:
Use a low-heat setting (silk mode or medium heat).
Place a thin cotton cloth over the saree while ironing to prevent direct heat damage.
Handloom fabric is woven on a loom manually by a skilled weaver. Each handloom piece is a work of art which uniquely displays craftsmanship. The beauty of this quintessential fabric is that no two hand-loomed fabrics can be similar-looking. And pls note that getting minute flaws in fabric is very common. The imperfections in this perfect fabric can be anything from an uneven yarn to a faded print. Beauty of a original handloom saree lies in its imperfections.
Pls note that there may be a mild colour variation in the saree due to colour reproduction in camera and screen.
Frequently asked questions
What is this saree made of? It is made of mul cotton tissue in a rich raspberry pink with a deep wine tone, and belongs to our Raaga collection of handwoven mul cotton tissue sarees. The total length is 6.3 to 6.5m, with the blouse attached.
Which occasions is this saree best for? It suits special occasions, Diwali, Navratri, pooja at home, family functions and evening celebrations. The rich raspberry wine shade also makes it a standout gift.
How can I style a raspberry wine tissue saree? Pair it with a gold blouse, or a contrast green, teal or navy blouse. Antique gold or kundan jewellery suits the rich shade, pearls soften it, and oxidised jhumkas with a macramé potli give it a boho look.
Is it comfortable for all-day wear? Yes. Mul cotton tissue is soft and breathable, so it drapes gracefully and stays comfortable all day.
What is a Raaga tissue saree? Raaga is our collection of handwoven mul cotton tissue sarees. They combine the softness of mul cotton with the gentle sheen of tissue.
Can I wear it to work? Yes. The deep wine shade looks rich yet refined. It suits office festive days, important client meetings, presentations, conferences and award functions, and school or college events for teachers. It's a polished choice for teachers, doctors, lawyers, bankers and other professionals who want to look elegant without feeling overdressed.
How should I get the blouse stitched? Tissue is a delicate fabric, so get the blouse stitched with a stretchable lycra fusing interlining. It supports the fabric and keeps the fit comfortable.
How do I care for it? Dry clean only. Iron on low heat with a thin cotton cloth placed over the saree, as tissue is sensitive to direct heat. Keep perfume and deodorant away from the zari, and store it folded in a muslin or cotton cloth, refolding it every few months so the folds don't set.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
- Dry clean the first time; mild hand wash in cold water after that
- Never wring — press water out and hang over a rod
- Dry in shade, never direct sun
- Iron while slightly damp; linen takes a hot iron well
- Linen creases as you wear it. That's the fabric, not a fault
- Before the first wash, soak 15 minutes in cold water with a handful of rock salt. This sets the colour
- Mild detergent only, cold water, no bleach, no machine
- Don't let soap sit on the fabric — rinse quickly
- Shade dry; light starch keeps the crispness
- Medium iron
- Dry clean only, always
- Blot stains immediately with a dry cloth. Never rub, never use water
- Store wrapped in muslin, never plastic — plastic blackens zari
- Refold along different lines every few months so creases don't set
- Iron on low, reverse side, with a cotton cloth in between
- Dry clean only
- The zari is delicate — avoid hooks, velcro and rough jewellery
- Store rolled or loosely folded in muslin
- Iron on the lowest setting with a cloth between, never directly on zari
- Natural dyes release colour in the first two or three washes. Wash separately in cold water
- Mild detergent, no soaking, no bleach
- Shade dry, reverse side out
- The colours soften and deepen over years. That's how natural dye is meant to age
- Dry clean only
- Iron on the reverse, never over the embroidery or painted areas
- Store flat in muslin so threads don't catch
