Soft, feminine and full of festive glow, this Rose Pink Pichwai Kota silk saree has a warm rose pink body woven with Pichwai-inspired cow motifs in zari, framed by a zari border finished with a purple edge. The pallu is woven with rich bands of zari that catch the light beautifully, and the light Kota silk keeps the saree airy and easy to carry for hours. Rose pink and zari is a graceful, flattering pairing, made for women who love soft colours with a festive shimmer.
Pichwai: devotion woven into silk
Pichwai art began in Nathdwara, Rajasthan, as devotional temple paintings for Shrinathji, a form of Lord Krishna, filled with cows, lotuses and festive scenes. This saree carries the much-loved Pichwai cow in zari across a rose pink Kota silk base, bringing that devotional charm to your festive wardrobe.
Where to wear this rose pink Kota silk saree
Wear it for Diwali, Karva Chauth, Bhai Dooj, Janmashtami, Govardhan Puja and Navratri, temple visits, pooja at home, mehendi, engagement and sangeet functions, baby showers and family celebrations. It also makes a heartfelt festive gift for a mother, sister, daughter or friend.
How to style it
Festive and traditional: pair it with a purple or deep magenta blouse, antique gold temple jewellery, glass bangles and a gajra.
Soft and elegant: choose a pink or champagne gold blouse with layered pearls and pearl drops for a dreamy, graceful look.
Boho: wear a teal or bottle green sleeveless blouse with oxidised silver jhumkas, a macramé potli bag and kolhapuris for a fun, contemporary festive look.
Each piece is a work of art which uniquely displays the weaver's craftsmanship. No two handwoven pieces look exactly alike, and minute flaws such as an uneven yarn are a natural part of the weave.
Pls note that there may be a mild colour variation in the saree due to colour reproduction in camera and screen.
Frequently asked questions
What is this saree made of? This Rose Pink saree is made of Kota silk, with Pichwai-inspired cow motifs woven in zari, a zari border with a purple edge and a zari pallu. The blouse is attached, and the total length is 6.3 to 6.5m (5.5m saree and 80cm blouse).
Why are cows woven on a Pichwai saree? In Pichwai art from Nathdwara, cows are linked to Lord Krishna as Shrinathji, the cowherd. They symbolise devotion and abundance, which is why they are one of Pichwai's signature motifs.
Is a Kota silk saree comfortable for long hours? Yes. Kota silk has a light, airy weave, so the saree stays comfortable through long pujas and functions despite its zari work.
Which occasions is a rose pink zari saree good for? It suits Diwali, Karva Chauth, Bhai Dooj, Janmashtami, Govardhan Puja, Navratri, temple visits, pooja at home, mehendi, engagements, sangeet and baby showers.
How can I style a rose pink silk saree? For a traditional look, wear a purple or deep magenta blouse with antique gold temple jewellery. For an elegant look, choose a pink or champagne gold blouse with layered pearls. For a boho look, pair a teal blouse with oxidised silver jhumkas and a macramé potli.
Is it a good saree to gift? Yes. Rose pink is a soft, flattering shade, and the devotional Pichwai cows make it a meaningful gift for festivals like Diwali and Karva Chauth.
Is the blouse piece included? Yes, an 80cm blouse piece is attached to the saree.
How should I care for this zari Kota silk saree? Dry clean only, including the first wash. Iron on low heat on the reverse side with a thin cotton cloth over the zari. Keep perfume and deodorant away from the zari, and store it folded in a muslin or cotton cloth, refolding it every few months so the folds don't set.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
- Dry clean the first time; mild hand wash in cold water after that
- Never wring — press water out and hang over a rod
- Dry in shade, never direct sun
- Iron while slightly damp; linen takes a hot iron well
- Linen creases as you wear it. That's the fabric, not a fault
- Before the first wash, soak 15 minutes in cold water with a handful of rock salt. This sets the colour
- Mild detergent only, cold water, no bleach, no machine
- Don't let soap sit on the fabric — rinse quickly
- Shade dry; light starch keeps the crispness
- Medium iron
- Dry clean only, always
- Blot stains immediately with a dry cloth. Never rub, never use water
- Store wrapped in muslin, never plastic — plastic blackens zari
- Refold along different lines every few months so creases don't set
- Iron on low, reverse side, with a cotton cloth in between
- Dry clean only
- The zari is delicate — avoid hooks, velcro and rough jewellery
- Store rolled or loosely folded in muslin
- Iron on the lowest setting with a cloth between, never directly on zari
- Natural dyes release colour in the first two or three washes. Wash separately in cold water
- Mild detergent, no soaking, no bleach
- Shade dry, reverse side out
- The colours soften and deepen over years. That's how natural dye is meant to age
- Dry clean only
- Iron on the reverse, never over the embroidery or painted areas
- Store flat in muslin so threads don't catch
