Cool, calm and quietly festive, this Teal Blue Pichwai Kota silk saree has a deep teal body woven with Pichwai-inspired cow motifs inside a fine zari trellis. A zari border with a thin orange edge frames the saree, and the pallu shimmers with broad zari bands. The light Kota silk keeps the drape airy and comfortable, so you can wear it through long festive days. Teal and zari is an elegant, easy-to-love pairing for women who prefer rich colour without being loud.
The story behind Pichwai motifs
Pichwai art comes from Nathdwara in Rajasthan, where devotional paintings celebrate Shrinathji, a form of Lord Krishna, often with cows and lotuses. On this saree, the cows are woven in zari across a teal base, turning a centuries-old devotional art into something you can wear.
Where to wear this teal blue Kota silk saree
Wear it for Diwali, Janmashtami, Govardhan Puja, Navratri and Dhanteras, temple visits, pooja at home, engagements, receptions, baby showers and family dinners. Its refined teal shade also works for office festive celebrations and school events for teachers. It makes a thoughtful festive gift for a mother, sister, friend or colleague.
How to style it
Festive and traditional: pair it with an orange, rust or mustard blouse, antique gold jhumkas, a choker and a gajra.
Soft and elegant: choose a silver-grey or ivory blouse with layered pearls and pearl studs for a polished evening look.
Boho: wear a black sleeveless blouse with oxidised silver jewellery, a macramé potli bag and kolhapuris for a modern, artsy festive look.
Each piece is a work of art which uniquely displays the weaver's craftsmanship. No two handwoven pieces look exactly alike, and minute flaws such as an uneven yarn are a natural part of the weave.
Pls note that there may be a mild colour variation in the saree due to colour reproduction in camera and screen.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
- Dry clean the first time; mild hand wash in cold water after that
- Never wring — press water out and hang over a rod
- Dry in shade, never direct sun
- Iron while slightly damp; linen takes a hot iron well
- Linen creases as you wear it. That's the fabric, not a fault
- Before the first wash, soak 15 minutes in cold water with a handful of rock salt. This sets the colour
- Mild detergent only, cold water, no bleach, no machine
- Don't let soap sit on the fabric — rinse quickly
- Shade dry; light starch keeps the crispness
- Medium iron
- Dry clean only, always
- Blot stains immediately with a dry cloth. Never rub, never use water
- Store wrapped in muslin, never plastic — plastic blackens zari
- Refold along different lines every few months so creases don't set
- Iron on low, reverse side, with a cotton cloth in between
- Dry clean only
- The zari is delicate — avoid hooks, velcro and rough jewellery
- Store rolled or loosely folded in muslin
- Iron on the lowest setting with a cloth between, never directly on zari
- Natural dyes release colour in the first two or three washes. Wash separately in cold water
- Mild detergent, no soaking, no bleach
- Shade dry, reverse side out
- The colours soften and deepen over years. That's how natural dye is meant to age
- Dry clean only
- Iron on the reverse, never over the embroidery or painted areas
- Store flat in muslin so threads don't catch
